Our winery is located in Mauternbach near Mautern on the Danube and is part of the world-famous Wachau wine-growing region. Wine has been grown in Mautern since Roman times. The winery has been in the family since 1697. We cultivate 4.5 hectares of vineyards in the best locations of Mautern, Mauternbach and Bergern in the Dunkelsteinerwald. Our vineyards are cultivated sustainably and herbicide-free.

Our varieties: Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, Gelber Muskateller, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Blauer Zweigelt, Carbernet Sauvignon and Merlot.

We are also a member of the Vinea Wachau, the protection association for Wachau wine. We produce our wines according to the Wachau Codex under the names Steinfeder, Federspiel, and Smaragd
